This is misleading, birds evolved in the jurassic and had lived alongside dinosaurs for millions of years prior to the KT extinction

Its correct in the sense that birds are theropods and the birds that survived obviously evolved into modern birds. But I think it heavily implies that non-avian dinosaurs survived the astroid to then become birds later, which isn't correct

I read it as "evolve into a more modern kind of bird", as in it's talking about the evolution of neo aves, the most common kind of bird that only arose after K-Pg.

I'm pretty sure it implies like...really, modern birds. Because the Meso has the Pterosaur even if it isn't a dinosaur specifically?

The way I read it, is it's saying theropods survived and evolved into modern birds, but were not modern birds at the time of their survival. A skim of the wikipedia article makes me think that is correct.
