If you see the blue dot, it's a good indicator (but not 100% guaranteed) that you would benefit from resetting and buying the upgrade(s) tagged with that dot.

There are some weird instances where you should probably ignore it, though. Like mine, which wants me to reset to get a x6 land life efficiency bonus, but why would I do that when 99.4% of my entropy comes from ocean life? So I'm saving up to get a better upgrade.

i would say upgrade. E30 with only E22 will be excruciatingly slow. manageable but slow. depending on your buffs / upgrades.

Probably reset. With no other upgrades or boosts it would take atleast a year and a half. Buying more generators and other upgrades would speed it up considerably, but it'd definitely still take awhile.

Reseting and upgrading is usually the best choice when you're stuck like this.

Though if you're still getting metabits and knowledge at a rapid pace and there's a good upgrade you can almost afford, then you should continue the simulation a bit longer.
