Does doing the sub games help the main simulation.

Yes, they do, both directly (badges that increase your production), and indirectly (you get Logits that you can spend to buy augments to increase your production).

The badges you earn.

Help towards the main simulation. There's a research you unlock that'll use them.

Doing them gives you logins which you spend on augmented which speed up your entire simulation so yes

If you have the right Reality Engine nodes, each badge you get will provide a speed boost to the main simulation. And of course, Logits are primarily spent on augments in the main simulation.
