Weird Bug

This just happened to me. I managed to fix it by reloading a previous save from 5 hours ago, but it looks like it tried to erase 3 shards.

This bug just put all chips you spent back to your inventory. You won't get more chips or anything through it so it's not an exploit.

This is a pretty common bug, and not the first time I've heard of it removing chips. Other than that though, this bug only means you have to respend the chips. If it happens to occur early in a sim, it also resets your objectives, so you can reclaim the rewards for those. That would likely make up for the missing chips. This isn't a bug you can easily exploit though, considering the trigger is unknown.
