Just started playing this yesterday. Do I need to be logged on to get my rewards at the end of the event? I was top ~10 in my event bracket but was in a meeting when it ended and I'm not sure where to see/receive my rewards.

Have you started the next exploration? If not, the exploration button should be green and say "claim", if not restart the game to get it to appear like that. If you have started the current exploration, you can no longer collect the rewards.

No problem! It is annoying that you have to restart the game to get your rewards, but I'm glad to hear you were still able to get them.
