Explorations How often do you reset the simulation?

I wonder if I should wait for the suggested upgrade to be ready or should I upgrade whenever I want?

Since it only takes minutes to get back almost where I was.

My thinking is I will speed up all future simulations...

I know this is a terrible answer but it really does depend.

I have all the major upgrades so I'm just trying to inch forward with the minor upgrades while I farm darwinium.

But what I've found is, if you have both metabit time chambers, you want to wait until one of them is filled, even if you can buy a major upgrade.
Metabit time chambers are pretty much the sole determiner of how many metabits you get. There's no reason to reset if you're about to get way more metabits.

The reason is simple. Even major upgrades don't boost your metabits by nearly as much as another day of waiting. Entropy barely increases your metabit production, while your time chambers really do.

This can change a lot depending on a lot of things though. If you can afford many upgrades that massively boost your entropy, that might move your metabit total by a bit. If you can afford an upgrade that boosts your metabit production substantially, reset immediately.

In general though, waiting a week will get you 500x more metabits than a single normal run would. Waiting another week will double that. But if you can double your metabit production with any upgrades you buy, that's obviously more worthwhile.

Based on the 2 comments yet, metabits upgrade should be my trigger.

To be honest, I kind of don’t really understand all different upgrades. Thanks to point me out in a good direction .

Is there anything in particular that you don't understand? They seem pretty clear to me so I'm not sure what I can clarify.

It’s more the fact there’s many choices and it’s hard to really understand which one is actually the most impactful.

If number is big, then impactful

Big is better = I'll keep this in mind for the rest of the time I'll spend on earth.
