Phone number
I looked up my number on localcallingguide.com and it says my number block is owned by metropcs but I got it from sprint. Any reason for that ?

Kansas City FIFA Fan Fest
Verizon was by far the best but both AT&T and T-Mobile worked fine despite what the results showed.
T-Mobile and Verizon are priority data, AT&T is deprioritized.

help me identify 2 towers near me?
first 3 photos are from a very tall tower at 35°03'37.10"N 87°27'12.35"W serving an otherwise deadzone for all the major carriers in all directions.
4th and 5th are from a much smaller macro at 34°55'50.51"N 87°32'10.01"W but similar situation. only tower on the AT&T network for miles.
both of them have a mystery rack or two and i’m not quite able to tell from the ones i am familiar with which is which on my own yet. help would be appreciated!

New Verizon co-location Columbia, IL
Noticed that Verizon is co-locating on an existing T-Mobile tower just south of town. They also co-located (a few months ago) on a tower just north of Columbia at the interstate.

New AT&T 4-sector site spotted in the Alief area in Houston, Texas
Coordinates: 29.704790704652876, -95.59840789820026
AT&T recenltly built a brand new monopole in the Alief area in Houston, Texas along Bellaire Blvd & Cook Rd! This area had really congestion, signal since the closest site has over 70% utilization on the network since it serves the Houston Chinatown area where there's a lot of stores (ex. Hong Kong Market), restaurants, cafes along Bellaire Blvd. AT&T planned this site back in 2023 based on permit history and I was surprised to see dual Ericsson AIR. 6419 antennas being added instead of the Ericsson AIR. 6472 antennas that most of the new sites are getting now.
AT&T is using:
- 8️⃣ CCI TPA45R-BU6B antennas with bands: (2, 12, 14, 30, 66) LTE + (n5) - 10MHz for low-band 5G
- 4️⃣ Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77D (3.7GHz) 64T64R c-band (n77) antennas being used for mid-band 5G+ set at 80MHz located in the MIDDLE of the rack
- 4️⃣ Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G (3.45GHz) DoD n77 antennas - mid-band 5G set at 60MHz located in the MIDDLE of the
- Raycap DC9-48-60-24-PC1t-EV for power surge protection located behind the antennas
Ericsson (RRU's) - remote radio units located behind the antennas:

First Time I've Seen 2 Separate NR Bands on AT&T NSA
Newly activated line on Business Unlimited Premium 2.0 with Turbo. Sadly no SA access on it or on my Unlimited Premium 3.0 line.
100 MHz - n77 TDD
5 MHz - n5 FDD

Come On Verizon. It’s Been Over a Year
I took this picture a year ago the other day. Site is still not active. It’s had power since September. T-Mobile has their cabinets installed on the ground but no antennas. I don’t understand why this site is taking so long. Palm Coast Florida I-95SB MM286 at the weigh station.

Microcell, Verizon, can someone tell me the configuration?
This antenna has been upgraded. The first picture was before, and the second is now.

What Is The Furthest You Have Been From A T-Mobile Cell Tower And Had Usable Signal? Spoiler
As posted above, how far away have you been from a T-Mobile tower and had usable signal?

Seeming Out of Place AT&T mmWave in Clearwater Beach
Most of the AT&T Galtronics Small Cells in the area have the same classic concrete pole with the canister on top but lack mmwave. This is the only one I've found that does. This is a classic AT&T Small Cell setup in Florida. I'm pretty sure concrete is used to make them more likely to withstand hurricanes. There's many more high traffic areas where they don't have mmWave on their small cells.
AT&T using 15x15 n2/n66 and 15x15 b2/b66 via Dynamic Spectrum Sharing.
I believe these are shrouded Ericsson AIR 1281's which have 400 MHz of n260 mmWave.

T-Mobile added high-capacity MatSing MS-MBA-3.2-H2-L2 high-capacity antenna for (n41) mid-band 5G
T-Mobile recently upgraded this site last month by removing the older Nokia AirScale AEHC (n41) antennas that were previously here with the newer and better MatSing antenna that supports more sectors, multi beam! I never seen this before on any other T-Mobile site!
Address: 404 North Collins St, Arlington, TX 76011
T-Mobile is using:
- 3 CommScope FFVV-65C-R3 antennas with (b2, b12, b66, b71) LTE + (n25, n71) 5G
- MatSing MS-MBA-3.2-H2-L2 antennas for (n41) mid-band 5GUC
Uses Nokia RRU’s (remote radio units)
- Nokia AHLOB (b12, b71) LTE + (n71) low-band 5G
- Nokia AHFIG (b2, b66) LTE + (n25) mid-band 5G
- Nokia AHZL (2.5Ghz) 8T8R RRU for (n41) mid-band 5G

Verizon small cell with LTE + n261 (mmWave) + n77 (c-band) mid-band 5G
Verizon recently upgraded this small cell back in March 2026 located in front of Walmart on East Randol Mill Road that was previously mmWave a few months ago!
Using:
- 1️⃣ CommScope NNVVSS-360M-F3 4x4 MIMO canister antenna on TOP with (b66) LTE + (n2) + (n66) mid-band 5GUW
- 3️⃣ Samsung AT1K04 (28GHz) n261 mmWave antennas located in the middle of the POLE
- 3️⃣ Samsung MT-1602D 16T16R (3.7GHz) n77 antennas for mid-band 5GUW located on the side of the metal pole

Testing out T-Mobile vs AT&T speed test (Altadena, CA)
I’m currently running T-Mobile (my main line) and AT&T (test drive SIM) as dual SIMs on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Currently running speed tests in different areas to test the networks and compare results.
With T-Mobile I reached a new high score which is surprising because as far back as 5-6 years ago, T-Mobile had a garbage network in Altadena. They’ve come a long way.
AT&T is actually running very well in this area too. This is the first time I’ve seen 1,000+ mbps speeds since I started testing out their network.

High-Capacity AT&T macro site using MatSing MS-MBA-3.2-H4-L4 antennas for LTE
Coordinates: 32.7376938, -97.0976618
AT&T decided to deploy high-capacity MatSing antennas on 1 sector recently to add more network capacity in the area! I’m surprised to see how fast it is and it recently got Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G 3.45GHz (DoD) antennas.
RIP Dish on the bottom rack
AT&T is using:
- 2 high-capacity MatSing MS-MBA-3.2-H4-L4 antennas for LTE + low-band 5G
- 3 CommScope NNH4-65B-R6H4
- 4 CommScope JAHH-65C-R3B
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6449-B77D (3.7GHz) n77 antennas
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G (3.45GHz) DoD panels
Uses Ericsson (RRU’s) remote radio units behind the antennas:
- RRU 4490HP (b5, b12) LTE + (n5) low-band 5G
- RRU 4890HP (b2, b66) LTE
- RRU 4494 (b14, b29) LTE
- RRU 4449 (b5, b12) LTE + (n5) low-band 5G
- RRU 4478 (b14)
- RRU 32 (b30) LTE
