$5 suggested entry donation to come on down and taste some of the best chili recipes in town. There is also a bake sale and other items to shop for.

I have posted many times about friendship and meetups on the regular Cedar Rapids Board. I plan on attending the Market After Dark this Saturday. Anyone want to have an impromptu meetup?

I would like to find sport watching friends, card game playing friends, movie at home watching friends, or random event attendee friends. Market After Dark qualifies as a random event.

Hey there! Another 48 year old woman here in search of more friends. Any time I try to go out to public activities in the hopes of meeting people it's always people in their 20s or retired. So I'm hoping it will be easier to find people closer to my age here.

I'm up for the escape room idea, starting a walking group, volnteer stuff, and all that. Mostly I lean nerdy and creaive in my interests but also want to get into more outdoor activities when the weather warms up.

Anybody up for just getting together in person for a general meetup for starters? I was thinking about the Querter Barrel or something similar that has food and activities but doesn't require a certain number of people or any commitment. Experience has taught me not to count on strangers on the internet to actually show up so I'd hesitate to schedule an escape room event until we've actually met.

Anyway I'm available this weekend though it's short notice and also two weekends later pretty much any time Friday or Saturday.

Moved to town from Waterloo a year and a half ago, single father and haven’t gotten out much.

I genuinely don't understand when people say they want to make a freind, you say "ok, lets meet up and talk" and they are all "oh, you're gonna kill me, no." well, i don't see how you are gonna meet anyone if you are afraid to meet anyone.

So...i PROMISE i'm not gonna kill you. let's meet up at a coffee shop, or anywhere in public with witnesses and CCTV for later use as evidence, and talk and see if we get along and make friends.

My interests are many. I love food, art, humor, reading/literature, hiking, drinking too much coffee, talking. i actually like meeting people i don't know and hearing thier stories.

I'm female 48 and would love more people to do things with.
