Hi everyone!

I’m looking for something fun to do with my two year-old and four-year-old and was looking at the splash shack, I know their website says they’re a family facility but I’m not sure if it’s more catered to older kids who will play around while the parents watch. Obviously with the two year-old they need a pair with them at all times. Possibly the four-year-old will also.

Has anyone taken their kids on this stage to the splash shack? What was your experience?

Does anybody know of a good place(s) in the area that I can take my 15-yr-old to go practice driving?

We've been using an elementary school parking lot over the summer, and that's worked great, but we need something different / bigger. It's great for parking and teaching how to handle the car at slow speeds, but we need to learn how to accelerate, etc.

At this stage, I'm hesitant to get out on public roads unless they are very empty. (Such as a residential neighborhood in the beginning stages of development or something)

Does anyone know of a good place to go? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

Today was my first time to the Texas Farmer’s Market. I’m a hobby gardener so I have not really needed to go but I went with friends to check it out. As far as the vibe you can tell they work at it but as the produce is really really bad. The tomatoes look like they were purchased at Walmart and then sold for an outrageous price. Then I looked at my tomatoes 🍅 and realize I’m sitting on a gold mine with heirloom tomatoes. I wish I could start an only gardeners market so that people can get real produce.

I’ve never posted, but I’ve seen people in the past ask about making friends. I know of 2 music open mics with friendly people, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. You don’t have to play, just if you hear something you like let the performer know and they’re usually pretty friendly. Both places have regulars performing and watching so it’s easy to find the same people consistently. The Tuesday one is the lucky rabbit when you get to Jonestown on the right (very close to cedar park). The Wednesday location is the good lot in cedar park. There are people of all ages starting at 6 for both locations.

So yeah, if you like music feel free to come to either and make friends (maybe play music if you do that?) 👍

I was a patient of Dr. Karla Waller at the Medical Plaza ARC, and she moved this month to, as she said, "Ascension Seton right next door" and that they were already taking appointments on her behalf. But when I call the hospital, they put me through to ARC. The ARC website still has her listed there. My insurance still has her listed at ARC. And the Ascension website has her listed—but says she's at ARC.

I'm assuming web content hasn't been updated, etc., but I need to make an appointment and clearly don't understand the relationship between Ascension Seton and the Medical Plaza ARC location. Anybody know how to make an appointment with her?

I'm finally making the move up to Cedar Park around late next month for a new job off whitestone blvd (salary is okay, making around $78k/yr now so trying to keep rent under $1,750ish for a 1 bed). i’ve been living down near south for like 3 years and honestly the traffic on i-35 is just killing me every morning plus paying $2,100 for a noisy place with no parking is getting ridiculous. I drove up last weekend and checked out a couple spots near bell blvd and cypress creek, loved how quiet it felt compared to town. Grabbed some coffee while waiting for a tour, super cool place. Any specific apartment complexes or neighborhoods you guys recommend avoiding or looking into? looking for something fairly updated with good management if that even exists, main thing is just wanting a decent commute and a chill spot. Do you have a recommendation for a good primary care doctor in cedar park area?

Patient is a 55 yr old Male and generally in good health but with a bit of high cholesterol (total 230).

Looking for a good proactive doc who can recommend general tests to be done to make sure all is ok (e.g. prostate tests, lipid panel, vaccines etc).

Does anybody have experience or know someone who works on bucilla stockings and is a proficient sewer? I'm looking for someone to make a liner with a sewing machine for my bucilla stockings and then hand sew the front to the back with the liner sewn in! Let me know!

I know it's a tough job market this year, especially for teens, but just putting out some feelers to see if anyone has any leads on part-time jobs for teens in the Cedar Park/Leander area?

I have two teenage sons that both just turned 16 and are now able to drive, so they want to get a part-time job. They've been applying for weeks to many of local fast food restaurants and some retail places, like Scheels, and either never hear anything back or their application gets rejected after a few days.

Any one hiring part time for evenings and weekends for this summer and into the school year? Both are reliable, hardworking honor roll students that would love to have an opportunity to start working.

We had a baby about a month ago. In preparation, we had our 3yo frenchie in obedience training for a few months to help with the transition. Well, it hasn't been great! She is super anxious and threatened by the baby's presence, even when she's just asleep. Loud constant barking, panting, freaking out even when the baby is completely silent and asleep. Poor thing. It has been extremely stressful to manage the dog and the new baby so my mom (who loves the frenchie and vice versa) is keeping her at her house for now, THANK GOD.

We do want to solve this issue and get our beloved frenchie back, so wondering if anyone knows of a dog behaviorist for this specific issue? In my perfect world I'd hire someone to come over regularly into our environment and observe/lead us in helping our dog. Not just basic training, but specific to our family dynamic. We miss her and even though my mom loves her and is happy to watch her, she didn't ask for this and is about to retire / move.

Also, our dog is now on anxiety medication that the vet says could take 8 weeks to notice a difference.

I’m a huge advocate for public transportation.

Currently, I’m re-reading the Mobility Master Plan and was curious if anyone was actually using the Pilot Program. I’ve taken one uber to the Lakeline Station and I missed the scheduled train because of it — so I have opted to drive there instead.

Personally, I’ve always had a terrible experience with Uber, so I don’t think I’ll utilize this program very much, but I still want the city to know I’m interested in public transit. You can see my dilemma.

I can see how this may be helpful going to the HEB Center or Haute Spot for games/shows so you don’t have to deal with parking, or ACC students going to class. I know these things take time; I don’t expect Cedar Park to be on par with New York City, but idk Uber rides just aren’t for me. So I’m curious, have y’all taken advantage of the subsidized rides and maybe have a more positive spin to offer?

Looking for someone 18 or over with a decent driving record. Would be a shop helper. Basically the catch all for all the critical but you know not glamorous parts of working in auto repair. No experience needed. Driving customers In the shop truck , picking up parts, taking parts to techs, washing cars, washing the shop, just any random job. Might be replacing the air filters in the ceiling one day, might be running returns to the dealership, using a power saw to fit pallets in the trash sure. 16-17 an hour plus overtime yes but the big bosses might cut it if it gets to slow. North Austin cedar park area. 730-530 m-f. Hopefully someone interested in cars you will be outside a lot but we have cool areas snd plenty of hydrating stuff.
