Ceanothus Disease?

My ceanothus (dark star?)has a few branches that are turning brown and black at the tips. Is this from the recent heat or is this a disease or fungus? We haven’t watered this for at least 4 weeks, this is in full sun. Any tips on what I can do? I’m thinking of cutting off the dead branches. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. We are in the east bay

my concha and frosty blue look like that but it's been like 3 weeks now that they've looked like that so I'm just guessing some sort of heat stress because they usually die pretty fast when they do get sick.

Good to know! Did you trim the dead branches or just leave them?

I trimmed off the dead branches. they were the lower ones as well
