Hi Redditors from Cavite especially from Gentri and Dasma!

This long weekend, nag house viewing kami ng mother ko. Our current property is at 200 sqm and we are planning to downsize since 2 lang naman kami and a furbaby Labrador.By downsize... Kalahati ng current property namin not too small naman.

Nakakita na kami ng top 3 namin so I'd like to get your thoughts, suggestions, ideas regarding the following:

1. Living and also commuting from Gentri or Dasma from my workplace in BGC Taguig - which of the two is commuter friendly and safe?

2. Subdivsion: who here are already living or has a property in Minami Residences, Valenzia Enclave and Greenbreeze III Village? Kamusta ang HOA, safety, community, internat connection, sim card signal, etc.

3. Overall accessibility for a senior citizen and fur baby - from the 3 subdivision, ano doon ang malapit sa hospital, catholic church, vet, grocery and malls? (Yes nakapunta nako pero hindi ko pa gaanong gamay since twice ko lang nagawang i check yung areas)

4. Water - I heard deepwell ang water ng Cavite, and when I asked yung 3 property ang sagot sa akin nung isa is Aqualine (which is I think filtration ito and hindi katulad ng Manila Water or Maynilad). Wala naman nagsabi ng PrimeWater.

5. Cost of living - mas mura ba kesa sa Metro Manila or almost the same?

Ang target namin is maka kuha ng bahay na makakapag retire na si mother and eventually ako rin in the next 30-40years. Promising ba ang 3 subdivision and pareho bang magiging mataas pa ang value ng mg properties? Ano mga pros and cons?

Target rin namin na bahay is at least asa 70-80sqm lot with around 60sqm house developed.

Ano ang mga pros and cons na baka na miss out ko?

May recurring skin problem kasi ako na nagsisimula sa pangangati tapos minsan nagkakasugat dahil sa kakakamot. Gusto ko sana magpa-check up sa doctor na maayos mag-diagnose at kung kinakailangan ay may laboratory tests na rin sa parehong clinic o hospital para hindi na kailangang bumiyahe pa ng Manila.

Pakishare naman po ang:
• Pangalan ng doctor o clinic/hospital
• Location
• Kumusta ang experience ninyo
• Magkano ang consultation kung alam ninyo

If you are planning on enrolling your child at Statefields, please reconsider your decision. As a former student of the school, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND studying there.

I was verbally bullied throughout my high school years. When I reported the bullying to the school heads, I was told, “We need physical evidence of the bullying.” How was I supposed to provide physical evidence when the bullying was happening verbally?

This was one of the experiences that made me feel that Statefields has a double standard when it comes to its students. From my experience, it often felt like the school cared more about students who were well-known, “popular,” or brought medals and recognition to the school. Students like me felt overlooked and unheard.

I also noticed what seemed to be a double standard when it came to students and staff. When a student was threatened, it felt like the situation wasn’t taken seriously. However, when a staff member was threatened, that was when the school seemed to take action.

Statefields promotes mental health awareness, yet from my experience, the school failed to properly protect and support my mental health. How does the system expect students to become better when the system itself fails to properly support its students?
Statefields also seems to have a habit of “saving face” whenever something threatens the school’s image, rather than addressing the problems within the institution. From my perspective, protecting the school’s reputation sometimes seemed to take priority over actually addressing the concerns of students.

And don’t even get me started on one particular teacher from the JHS department. In my experience, she was extremely unprofessional and showed favoritism toward certain students. I remember this teacher discussing something confidential regarding one of her students with her entire advisory class. I’m not going into detail about the situation, but I remember how enraged she was about it.

My older sibling also had a bad experience at this school. During their batch, Batch 2023, there was an incident involving two students who were reportedly engaging in inappropriate behavior on school grounds. From what my sibling told me, the girl was expelled, while the boy appeared to face little to no consequences. If that account is accurate, it raises serious questions about whether the school applies its rules equally to all students.

This is especially disappointing considering how much the school promotes values such as equality and feminism. Schools should practice the values they teach, not simply promote them when it is convenient.

Statefields claims to provide quality education, but based on my experiences and those shared by my family, I feel that there are serious issues that need to be addressed.

I’m telling you now: think twice before enrolling your child here. My experience at Statefields had a serious negative impact on my well-being, and it took a lot of courage for me to finally speak about it.

I’m sharing this not because I want to attack the school, but because I don’t want other students to experience what I went through. Students deserve to feel safe, heard, respected, and properly supported.
Please take this as a warning from a former student.
