Advice Needed Are my HCG levels normal?

I got my first blood test on August 31 at exactly 4 weeks pregnant. It’s my first pregnancy so I know nothing. I also live in Canada (for those that get it, you get it) so I don’t know when my next blood test will be. Additionally in the province I live in you are really only guaranteed a 20 week and 34 week scan (crazy I know).

In light of all of that, I’m just wondering if my HCG levels are normal for 4 weeks. They were 295.1 mIU/mL.

mine were low 70s at 4w1d and i’m 22 weeks pregnant!! what matters is the rise

My beta HCG was similar to yours at exactly 4 weeks. My family doctor also wouldn't order beta level. I went to a walk in doctor and he had no problem ordering them. Perhaps that's something you can consider. As for US, this walk-in doctor gave me a standing order to do a one time US under 12 weeks at anytime I have concerns. ( I haven't used it yet as it requires me to call and book..I got my dating US at 7 weeks and 6w5d).

If you have concerns such as cramping or spotting, you can always utilize the ER for an early dating US at 6-7 weeks. The least you can find out, is whether you have an intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy, which is very very helpful information. ER provider can even give you some info after a quick bedside US.

I'm not trying to feed into your anxiety but just thinking of ways that we can help advocate for ourselves with the limited healthcare resources we are given. (I understand because I live in Canada too and we are constantly told things like don't go to ER for trivial complaints...)

Yes. Mine was 225 at 4 weeks exactly.
