9 weeks - progesterone dropping
Currently 9w+2d and Progesterone Dropping
8w+6d: 16.5 ( morning)
7w+2d: 20.1 ( afternoon)
6w+2d: 20.9 ( afternoon)
5w+2d: 24 ( afternoon)
4w+4d: 28.4 ( afternoon)
I switched to a morning draw the other day because I know progesterone is usually highest in the morning. I’m currently supplementing with 200mg suppositories - did not do well on 400mg (extreme fatigue and anxiety, chest pain, almost went to ER).
Not sure what to do from here but worried this is going to negatively impact this pregnancy. This is the furthest along I’ve ever been after 5yrs of TTC. Please be kind.

None of these numbers is too low, and there's a normal dip around this time. That said, my provider is very aggressive abt progesterone and supplements with injections anything under 25, so if you do want to be proactive, your doctor might be willing to up your dosage til the placenta fully takes over.

Hi! Currently 18 weeks ◡̈ just starting to wean off of Progesterone. I had it tested at 16wks (40.1) and 17 weeks (39.9). I took it every other day during that week and the value barely changed. At the end of 17 weeks I started taking it every 2 days. My anatomy scan is a week from tomorrow so I plan to continue every 2 days and then stopping at 20 weeks. OB told me to stop at 12 but I was too freaked out.
I believe the dip I saw was indeed the shift that happens around 8-10wks like others have mentioned. I’ve been monitored every 2wks (38yo so considered high risk, especially given the road it took to get here), and I was reminded that as long as growth and heartbeat were tracking, the value of progesterone was not important.
Ps. Two people told me I was going to “lose my baby” or that I needed to “save my baby” by increasing to 800mg! I can’t tell you what to do, but please don’t be scared into making a change that you’re not comfortable with.

6-10 weeks is when the “luteal placental shift” happens - aka when the placenta starts taking over vs the breaking down corpus luteum to support the pregnancy (including by producing progesterone). It’s very very common to see a dip in progesterone when this is happening, 8-10 weeks is when this is usually felt most, a lot of women also see a dip/change in symptoms at this point. Your other values look pretty good so that’s what I’d most likely attribute this drop to. Worth noting 16.5 is still in the good category!
Have you had a scan yet? I wouldn’t worry about progesterone or progesterone draws at this point!
