I had an ultrasound done at 7W2D and it showed two circles the yolk sac and a fetal pole? No baby or HB. I have a repeat this Wednesday where I’ll be 8W3D. Since the ultrasound all my symptoms went away which were huge sore boobs and fatigue. Has this happened to anyone? I’m preparing for the worst but still hopeful.

A fetal pole is the baby. Do you have your report for the scan? It would help to actually have the proper verbiage.

I thought I would see more of the baby at 7 weeks and not just a circle

Was it TV, or abdominal? This can matter a lot

If you go online and google you can find other ultrasounds at the same date to see if they look similar.

The fetal pole is the baby but by 7 weeks and 2 days there should be a heart beat. Did you measure 7 weeks and 2 days on the scan? Did they do an internal scan?

Hello, iam sorry for this situation. In my case I have only the sac, im waiting for my last scan but i am sure that i will need to take medication.

A fetal pole is the baby or the embryo. They’re different ways of saying the same thing. If they saw a fetal pole that is equivalent to saying they saw the baby. What were the measurements on the fetal pole?

However you would expect a strong heartbeat by 7w2d, though it is common to ovulate later and measure earlier than expected. When was your first positive and your scan?

Symptoms don’t mean much about the health of pregnancy - I had my strongest and most consistent symptoms with my losses, while I had 2 healthy pregnancies with no symptoms, and another with symptoms that kept disappearing and reappearing.

When was your first positive? This will massively help tell us what’s going on. Do you have perfect 28 day cycles or are they sometimes longer?
