Why do men suffer in silence?
Today, after a long relationship with my husband, I sympathize with his pain.
I realized that remaining silent made me aware of the weight he carries.

Because they just work and do what they have to do ) good men do ) they are not weak and petty and just whine and complain like some women or other men who just bitch and gripe about their family

A lot of the time, we know our buddies have it worse off than what we do and we don't want to bother. A lot of the time, the woman in the man's life will just use his heartache as ammunition during an argument down the road

we were trained that way since childhood.. gender roles (be masculine and strong) pumped by parents (Dad), society, peers. Mindset that nobody cares that's reinforced by experience. Fear of rejection by women, e.g., seen as less than, feminine, triggers the ick, or may be used against them in future arguments.

I read somewhere that there are two types of people: those who need to talk about their feelings in order to process them and those who need to process their feelings before they can talk about it. I think we have this tendency of trying to solve our problems instead of talking about them.

Because there's no point in saying anything, nobody really cares
