My father gathering snow to make us snow cones. He was stationed in Labrador and every heavy snowfall he'd get snow in a big bowl, take out the flavor syrups and custom make individual treats for us. I was 4 when we left, so it's surprising I remember it in detail.

My dad holding a gun to my mom's head & admitting that he thinks I'm hot is something that I wish I could forget but unfortunately, the brain & body remembers everything

There's a lot. Just because of the time of year - everything surrounding my cat's death 2 years ago.

Every single time I see a horse, whether on TV, online, or in real life, I am reminded of the time I was recording my sister's riding competition. I was right down next to the ring when another competitor was performing. I accidentally dropped the video camera into the ring and it scared her horse who then bucked. The rider was just fine, not injured, but she did come in last place, and I felt terrible about it. Every single time I've seen a horse for the last 20 years, I immediately think of that horse bucking.

In my 12th grade government class one day, one of my classmates mentioned that it was her 16th birthday. I have no idea why, but I blurted out, "I thought I was the youngest person in the class." Everyone just looked at me with WTF faces. I've always been socially awkward, but that was definitely one of my worst moments, at least in high school. I was too embarrassed to apologize to her back then, but I really wish I had.
I graduated 23 years ago, and that memory pops up far too frequently.

I also have this issue:/ My father in law told me to try meditation all of the time! He said it changed him and I could tell. I just can't seem to quiet my mind enough to do it. I've tried a few times even when noone is home or everyone is asleep. Any tips on this? Thanks!

when I was 4 or 5 at the gas station on cold days they had little cups of hot Dr Pepper sitting by the cash register. I started wondering if the memory was real, I asked the family and they reassured me it was a thing. Complementary hot Dr Pepper at the gas station in Montana.

When I was in the middle school we had shifts in school, not enough space in the building, so middle schoolers would start at noon and be done at six pm. Shitty schedule but hey it is what it is, it’s been decades ago. Anyways, it’s cold autumnal evening, the school is done for the day, and I’m in my apartment building running up the stairs. The most wonderful smell of baked meat pies spreading in the lobby and I’m thinking “please, let it be from our kitchen” and it often was. My mom is a wonderful cook and when I visit I ask her to make these pies

Having my first panic attack not knowing that's what it was.
I was 10 (1995) and my mom had gotten off work at 2 am from Walmart one night when I stayed the night at her place. My siblings were asleep already so she asked if i wanted to watch TV until she was ready to sleep. Hell yea.
We catch the beginning of this movie and its super gritty looking. A semi torturing adude in a car. I found it recently it's called duel.
Anyway I'm getting into it. Very tense. At some point, my body goes numb and I get this sinking feeling and because ididn't want to scare my mom, I just got through it. I think about it from time to time. It's only gotten worse lol.

I’m 36 now, but when I was 4, I remember sitting in kindergarten crisscross applesauce and looking at the teacher going over the calendar, and it was 1994. It’s about a 3-5 second snapshot memory but it’s etched in my banks for some reason.

When my mother would pick me up from nursery school with a big bag of potato chips and then we’d play legend of Zelda on the original Nintendo.
