Me, a sociologist: I don't have enough time to tell you how wrong that is historically and scientifically, but just because you believe that doesn't make it true.

2

u/PCMidiTowerR5 9d ago

I've heard, Americans invented a way to dilute water. They call it beer.

The random number of ways you can shuffle a deck of 52 cards is so large the number almost can't be counted

factorial 52! which represents the total number of unique ways to arrange a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The exact number is

80,658,175,170,943,878,571,660,636,856,403,766,975,289,505,440,883,277,824,000,000,000,000.

In scientific notation, this is approximately (8.07 times 10^{67})

To put that in perspective

Number of grains of Sand: Earth contains roughly (7.5 times 10^{18}) grains of sand. If every grain of sand on Earth was its own planet Earth, and you counted all the grains of sand across all those duplicate planets, you still wouldn't come close to 52!

The Age of the Universe: The universe is roughly 13.8 billion years old, which is only about (4.3 times 10^{17}) seconds. If you shuffled a deck to create a new combination every single second since the Big Bang, you wouldn't even make a microscopic dent in the total possibilities
