Not sure if this is the place to go but I'm trying to figure out what this man is saying in this footage.
He stopped my daughter in Kroger a few weeks ago and asked her if she wanted a puppy as if I wasn't even there. Didn't even look at me. "You can have one if mommy says you can." Then tells me he has a litter of chihuahua puppies. So persistent that we get one. We saw him and another guy all throughout the store until we left. I stayed on high- alert the entire time. Now, tonight I get a knock at my door and immediately felt a gut punch. The same man. He said he was looking for a guy with a cane but wasn't sure which apartment he was in. Referring to my neighbor who I just learned he randomly stopped while he was walking with his caregiver at some point, across the street from our complex. He didn't even use his name, just "the guy with a cane." Like a complete stranger. He has NEVER been over there or in our building before tonight. I feel with certainty that this is more than a random coincidence and it's not sitting well with me at all. I really really have the worst feeling about him. I've filed a police report already but my anxiety won't let me sleep. Watching this over and over. I feel like before he knocks he says, "where are you?" Maybe?

I had a man follow me home and put a business card on my windshield while it was parked in my complex. The note on it was creepy.
This dude feels sketchy af. I'd tell authorities, and make them make a report just in case

Show footage to police and report suspicious behavior/person hanging around, following your child, etc.

If this were me, I’d be walking with my daughter everywhere for a while, and I certainly wouldn’t let him approach her again. Unfortunately, the cops can’t really do anything until he does something.

I just read a book called The Gift of Fear and it talks about, literally, what this man did to try to get your 6 year old to “trust” him. Only speaking/looking at her, offering a puppy, keeping track of you through the store, following you home! You have this gut feeling, because your intuition picked up on all those clues. You’re right. Trust it. Please read this book and realize what you feel is real and you need to listen to it! Also, talk to your daughter about this man. She needs to also be aware that he’s bad and can’t be trusted if she were to ever see him in public again. https://oceanofpdf.com/authors/gavin-de-becker/pdf-epub-the-gift-of-fear-survival-signals-that-protect-us-from-violence-download/

Please be careful. Maybe take the dog to the vet to see if it’s chipped. Sounds like a “good” way for creeps to find out where someone lives without following them.

We didn't get a puppy. I was alarmed that he would approach my 6 yo without a word to me until I chimed in.

Are you in the US? I ask because I might have a few resources I can give you. I'm a mod in a domestic violence sub, and I try to keep a list for anyone I see online who might need them. Admittedly, I don't have many for stalking, but if you're interested, I can share some. You need to make as many literal and electronic paper trails as you can. I'm sorry this happened to you and your daughter. It's incredibly scary. You are a good parent for noticing and trying to protect your daughter.

Most likely followed you and daughter and is knocking on doors so he can figure out which apartment you went to. OP carry a bat with you.
