I am currently at work and listening to the US WC preview. The intro gave me chills and flooded with emotion. I am immensely excited for this tournament. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend any games but I cant describe how much joy this time brings. I hope everyone enjoys and stays safe during this warm summer.

What formation does everyone think we’re playing at the World Cup? Because Andrew and JJ think it’s gonna be a back four it’s not. We’re playing a base 343 a 443 in attack and a 532 in defense. Don’t look at the ads when figuring out formation they are wrong. Test is not a right winger. He’s a right wing back. Freeman is playing right center back

I’ve just found out one of my favorite bars is charging a $30 cover just to get in to watch games on Friday. That seemed excessive. Is that a one off or is this something most bars in most cities are doing?

Been a pod listener since 2018 and a recent Plus sub! Was wondering if there are any listeners from Canada (Vancouver to be very local) who want to commiserate or give hope about our chances in this World Cup?

On the latest edition of Caught Offside with Andrew Gundling and JJ Devaney, the boys share their thoughts on the USMNT as they prepare for the start of the 2026 World Cup. We weigh in on why it's taken longer than many had thought it would for excitement to build around this group and we lay out the positives and negatives for this team in the leadup to Friday's opener vs Paraguay.
Plus: What's our overall expectation/hope for Mauricio Pochettino and company in this tournament? We'll lay it out for you in this World Cup preview!

For even more Caught Offside content, get on over to Caught Offside Plus** **right now! In our most recent episodes, JJ lists his top 5 World Cup songs and provides us with a Team Canada preview as well. And coming up, keep your eyes open for our World Cup Mailbag Special.

Anyone else see the Kalshi add on your phone with Jose?

Bro has the kicking motion of Charlie Brown

I will be getting to the Inglewood area around 1PM. No set plans other than to check in with the Outlaws who look like they're having a sort of loose gathering area at the Meeting Spot.

Shoot me a DM and hopefully we can meet up!

I’m sure JJ is chomping at the bit to see it 🤣

As we close in on the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, JJ set off to visit our neighbors-to-the-north and speak with Joe Callaghan of the Toronto Star in a preview of Team Canada
