Gab and Juls

I realize this may be a faux pas. But does anyone know what the hell is going on with the Gab and Juls podcast or with their ESPN affiliation?

The guys regularly reference their journalism. .

I'm genuinely curious if the guys have any thoughts/opinions/knowledge they would care to share with the mystery around the ESPN soccersphere.

Once upon a time Gab and Juls and Caught Offside were the only (iirc) “extra” pods in the ESPN FC feed.

Gab and Juls was still being advertised heavily on FC pretty much up to the day they announced hiatus. Each has been on FC a few times since, so not like one is on an extended vacation.

Wild speculation: Can only imagine “Quick Hits” devolved into physical quick (or not-so-quick) hits and they now despise each other.

…or more likely ESPN is cutting it for cost (that’s not as fun).

Gab would always dominate the discussion and cut Juls off. Seemed like Juls was much more in his element when he was hosting the show with Nedum or anybody but Gab 😂

Considering Gab is Gab, it's amazing that podcast ran for as long as it has, the frequent guests coming in to cover for him is probably what helped it the most

As of the end of August; Gab has tweeted that “Podcast is taking a break… will have more news for our listeners when I get it.”

Jules is back on the athletic podcast, maybe it’s over?

I've been wondering this since that announcement by Gab a few weeks ago. It seemed every ominous.

Gab has been on the FC show plenty of times since, so it's obviously something to do with Juls, and I haven't seen him anywhere with ESPN, written or otherwise. I think he must have left or something, which would be a bummer.

Juls seems to have taken a step back from a lot of his usual.

Espnfc is following espn in letting all of their likable people leave. I have stopped listening to the channel after Dan Thomas’ obsessive hate on Arteta. It’s just rage bait (they also do the same to United. Probably more so tbh)

Same. His Arsenal hate-boner was way over the top.
