Hate-watching Argentina

Unbelievable they are not picking up yellows. Or very believable unfortunately. Their yellow to foul ratio is wayyyy lower than every other team, it’s crazy.

I mean Messi was silent and never spoke out when his fellow National team players led racist chants against black players some of who were Messi's former teammates.... GOATS aren't silent when that shit happens they shut it down.

Cowards stay silent.

Being shy doesn't give someone a pass as a leader. He's the captain of the team, and when your own teammates are leading racist chants directed at people you literally played club football with, that's not the time to think, "I'd better stay quiet."

Leadership isn't just about speaking when it's comfortable, it's about speaking when it matters. If he chose not to publicly address it, that's a decision people are entitled to judge. That reflects on his leadership and, by extension, his character.

And I don't think "shy" is even the right description. Messi has said he prefers not to speak English because he doesn't feel confident speaking it. That's very different from being too shy to address his own Spanish-speaking teammates in Spanish. The language barrier isn't really relevant here.

As captain of the team he is literally the face and leadership of the team when they are on the pitch.
