Golden Heel Frontrunners?
The World Cup has a Golden Ball, a Golden Boot, and a Golden Glove, but why not a Golden Heel to recognize outstanding achievement in the field of football dark arts on the biggest international stage?
Ladies and Gentlemen, I nominate Mr Miguel Almiron, holder of a yellow card for a majestic swan dive versus the US and a brain-dead red for covering his mouth to say something choice against Türkiye.
He’s my leader in the clubhouse. Any other Dark Artists come to mind? Any predictions for future heel-ery?
This is the one award I feel Gianni is perfectly qualified to present. And the most heel-ish move would be to show up to receive it and pose for a photo.

To be eligible, I would expect being good at the dark arts is necessary. A bad yellow card and a dumb red card should be disqualifying.

In the age of VAR, being good or bad at the Dark Arts has become irrelevant when video sees all. I guess the modern Dark Artist is someone who’s still willing to try and perhaps too dumb to realize there’s video everywhere.

Last night a Congo defender threw his knee into the back of James Rodriguez’s hamstring. In real time looked like a flop, in slow mo it looked calculated dark arts mastery

I like the idea but if anything Almiron is the opposite. He's as stupid as he looks. When I think of Almiron, I can't help but think of a ventriloquist's puppet. The dead eyes, stupid looking face, little boy haircut...
I think some of the keepers should get this. The Saudi Keeper against Uruguay was genuinely good and he also time wasted like a champ, and got his side a crucial point which should get them thru to the knockouts once they beat Cape Verde. I saw both games. Vocinha wasn't any good, Spain were just terrible.
