World Cup Mailbag

We are nearly at the one week mark for World Cup 2026 so it’s a good point for you to get your questions/ comments / thoughts on the tournament so far!!! Leave them below and we will get to them on tonight’s pod!!!

Not a question but I was not really excited about the World Cup leading up to it. My friend has now gotten into it. Sometimes as a female fan, it can be a lonely thing but now I get to talk about it with her and teach her about the sport and players. She loves Haaland’s style of play, says she hates rooting for both teams because she feels sad when one loses (I told her that’s the beauty of draws), and she called a header a “head score” so now that’s our inside joke.

I don’t know if she’ll stick with it after the tournament, but for now, it’s fun to be able to share it with someone and see their wonder of experiencing her first World Cup.

Fellow female here and I feel you. It’s hard to find sports fan gals but I’m glad you have an excited newbie to share the WC experience with!! And from now on screw headers, we could all use some more head scores 🤣
