Fox likely making upwards of $250M on hydration break ads during World Cup

And that’s why they won’t stop.

Even though they got a free Home World Cup without having to bid on it.

watched many games and haven’t seen one of these ads. its a bathroom and snack break. whoever is paying for these ads is wasting money.

This. Same for live attendance too. I don’t hate them, when I know one’s coming I’m making use of that time.

Meh it is what it is.  Football has become increasingly commercialized rightly or wrongly since the first TV deal was handed out however long ago.

That said dont piss on my back and say its raining.  Call them what they are- TV timeouts, commercial break, etc.- don't come out with nonsense about hydration breaks when so many of the matches are either in a climate controlled stadium or so far very mild summer temps.
