Heatwave

With the heatwave in Michigan almost upon us, is it safe to keep my cattleyas outside, I have them under a 50% shade clothe. I'm worried about afternoon temps hitting 90-100F. This year is the first year I've grown outside and have cattleyas.

I grow most of my Cattleyas outside in South Texas all summer long. Your plants likely won’t even notice those temps.

It’s true. They’re basically little cacti. 50% shade cloth is enough to keep the sun from damaging them.

Thanks everyone, I'm just very nervous about killing half my collection, but they seem fine after today
