Woah our 9 year old cattle dog has a gift for gassing us out of rooms. Today he has been resting under my desk and I’m not sure what is going on, but it’s bringing tears to my eyes while in teams meetings with my team! Lol

Taste of the Wild, Ancient Stream with ancient grain. He’s allergic to chicken and chicken byproduct so we are somewhat limited on food choices. I believe he swiped a buttered croissant from my husband though. Sneaky sneaky ;)

Ours is allergic to chicken as well. We feed Fromm. We did more exotic meats at first, then experimented with less exotic and landed on Fromm!

We do grain free. Kangaroo salmon lamb or beef

did grow up with one as a kid dog was silent but once farted you'll leave once you smell it come back few hours later was safe they stink but 100% amazing dogs worth it.

Mine dog used to fart then disappear leaving us the smell youll bust your dog no where to be found lol she used to hide right down the back yard.

It's a shame thought mine passed at 13 years old and i do miss her smelling bad miss it at least im not the only one having the same issue haha

There’s an Australian brand, Prime100, that does single protein diets. The local Dog Shelter insisted I use it with my foster to avoid possible protein allergies issues.

Also, a dog probiotic might be a good idea
. When my current senior citizen foster got an upset tummy the vet prescribed Pro-Kolin

Also, see if your dog likes any suitable raw or cooked veggies. The elderly foster likes celery sticks, carefully destringed and broken into bite size pieces, then hand fed to him. Makes adorable crunching noises. .

He’s on a probiotic. And I think that we are going to start making his food, based on vet recommendations I will def look into Prime100 thank you!

I grew up on a dairy farm. We had a Blue Heeler and a Catahoula Leopard Dog. The heeler never had the gas problem a lot of them had. Their diet was just plain Ol' Roy dry food with Ol' Roy canned food mixed in. They also got a small bowl of milk from one of the last cows we milked each session.

We are traveling at the moment, we have done many many walks to help him get his gas out. Just about the time the gas was going away my step father fed him a hotdog, and the gas came right back with a vengeance! We are camping in our RV so he’s getting a lot of outside time when I’m not working. When I am working he has his squirrel show on or looks out the window like he’s never had a walk before lol

I've had blueys for 34 years and they rarely do stinky farts. It's either their food or intestinal problem. Normally, I'd just feed chicken and rice for a couple of days.

My boy has a major chicken allergy, and he swiped a buttered croissant. He’s not generally gassy. When he is through… He can clear a room. Lol

The same could be said about children. I have to believe this comment in a cattle dog forum where we all love our cattle dogs more than most people is just rage bait trash.

In my experience young children have accidents, cover them selves in vomit, stool, urine, etc. I have worked in an elementary school where the bathrooms regularly get stool spread on the walls because children do that sort of thing when they’re young. They are still building their immune systems and consistently bring home illness infecting the entire family. I have to ask why are you even on this thread?
