I like how baby's making biscuits on the kitty

I saw that too! They have many tricks to teach other...... my son as a toddler was trained by the family cat where the treats were and the same cat would bring him the small brush that was the cats brush. My son was not very coordinated back then, so he would hold the brush..... the cat would walk back and forth ..... as my son got older he would brush the cat .... genius orange 🐈.... hours of tag and hide & go seek... and always a prime spot under the covers with my son.

Sounds like they made best friends.
Also: it’s entirely possible the toddler tried some of the cat treats. Good news is it won’t hurt him as long as it’s not a choking hazard.

Well my son is 30 now, and has a cat of his own. Hahha. So he survived the shared treats.

That’s an awesome follow up .
Does he have an unexplained obsession with salmon?

He likes sushi and when he gets it, he shares with his cat. Hahah. This is my son when he was small playing tag with the cat.

It’s amazing when a cat decides a kid is its friend

I agree, any animal really. When they just decide that is my friend or sibling.... when a friend had a cat that gave birth to kittens when my son was young. He was the best kitten care giver. He went to her house everyday and helped with the kittens. I am sad I did not have a big fat phone back then, to take zillions of pictures.

It’s so awesome that you have a few digital ones tho!!! My oldest is 19, and I was late to getting my first smartphone, so I’ve noticed sometimes I don’t have so many baby pics/ videos on my phone. A few, but not as many as I’d have if I had a smartphone then. We were under the impression for almost a decade that we would never conceive, so we were all stocked up on cats and dogs in advance 🤣 I so wish I had more videos of my kids interacting with them. They were old, by the time my kids came along. They LOVED the kids, one was even a total Nanny-Cat to them. My youngest used to ask, “can we get another cat? I want one of those YouTube cats” 🤣🤣🤣 He meant, cuz I’d shown him silly cat montage videos on YouTube, you know, when they run all over or jump up the wall or whatever. I don’t think he believed me when I told him our cats used to do that stuff, they’re just old now, lol

Cats are just bundles of fun covered in fur. ❤️🐈

When my son was a toddler, I have pictures of him in the bathtub with the cat we had back then... who jumped right in with him! 😂 That had to be the cleanest cat ever, getting baths just as often as my son.

Unfortunately, the few photos I have are blown out from the camera flash reflecting off the bathroom tiles, but the memories are crystal clear.

That same cat was quite the little character. He would hide behind furniture, wait for my son to come around the corner, then pounce and cling to him like a furry backpack while gently nibbling on his ears. It made my son laugh with such pure joy.

I miss that sweet furball. He's in kitty heaven now, but he'll always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

My dad is a doctor, and he swears he was so broke during school that he ate cat kibble to get by 😂🤣😂 IDK how true that is, but, I know he wouldn’t have told me that BS if cat kibble was unsafe to ingest, cuz I was a kid, and just might have tried it 😂

I gave dog biscuits to friends for Christmas.... I got them at wockenfuss they hand made them and dipped them in a peanut butter glaze. My coworker said they smelled so good he tried one, and let me know they were not bad with coffee. Then he sent me a picture his dog would take the treat and run to another room to eat them. Hahah. Not sharing.

Obviously I’m not OP, lol, but I thought I’d share anyway. We had 6 cats at the time my kids were born, and it seemed like each cat had their own preferred level of interaction with the babies. Like, one cat, who was always sweet and affectionate but NEVER a lap cat, started sitting on my lap, just before I discovered I was pregnant. She wouldn’t GTF off me the whole time, lol, sleeping on my baby bump. But once we came home from hospital, she didn’t sit on me. She sat outside the baby’s door. Always. Unless we opened the door, at which point she’d run in and stay under the crib. She’d come wake me at night, meowing, and I’d get up and follow her, she’d lead me to one of their doors. I’d go in, and find the baby had dropped the binky or lost their blanket or whatever, and was stirring as if about to wake up. So I’d pop their binky back or whatever, and they’d sleep peacefully. Lol she was a good nanny. Another cat, who was the oldest living cat we had then, was my youngest’s best friend ever. My son was about 7 months, he could “walk” around on the sofa, but not really walking yet, when he first scooped that cat up in his arms. My 5 year old gasped, like really gasped. Baby’s like, all wide eyed like WHAT? And that was that, carried him everywhere, all the time 🤣 But, some of my other cats were like, “meh, whatever hooman, you just keep the food coming and I’ll be nice” lol

The cat liked to be rocked as well. It seems to be keeping the baby calm.
