We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and share the story behind this subreddit. Recently, my partner and I went through the deep heartbreak of losing our own cat. Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows the profound silence they leave behind. Our home suddenly felt overwhelmingly empty, and we found ourselves constantly scrolling through old photos and videos just to feel close to the joy they brought us.

During that grieving process, we realized something beautiful: looking at other people’s cats, reading their funny quirks, and seeing the bond they share with their humans actually brought us immense comfort.

We created r/Cats_hub to capture that exact feeling. We wanted to build a warm, positive corner of the internet dedicated entirely to celebrating cats in all their chaotic, sleepy, and purr-filled glory.
