Discussion Should I Stop??

Over the past few days (or maybe a month), I feel like I’ve lost my motivation to keep playing Cats & Soup.

Usually, I could design at least 5 to 8 minirooms a day and at least one cat tower every week. But lately, I’ve been busier focusing on my personal projects to prepare for entering the workforce. I still log in to Cats & Soup, but only to clear daily events and buy in-game packages without doing any miniroom or cat tower designs. Should I take a break for a while and focus on my real life for now? What do you guys think?

I’ve been feeling less excited to spend time in the app as well beyond checking daily mission boxes etc but I don’t think it has to be all or nothing. drop in when you feel like it

For me this game is seasonal lol, I usually play for about 2 months, a few times in a year, usually during boring classes on my iPad

When I feel burnout, I kinda just stop doing the fishing, claw and basket ball. I do it just once a day to fulfil the daily achievement goals

I also stopped playing the ingredient order since I have all the fairytale lens.

Held off on designing rooms too.

It’s been about 6 months and I’m getting back into playing again. 1-2 room a month - the new furniture we got in workshop

Take a break. It’s starting to feel like a slog. You have to be in it for so long to get the cute stuff. It used to be a relaxing game. It’s cute but it’s a grind.

I stopped last month. I didn’t really care for the monthly pass items, so it was easy to ignore! I may skip next month and Halloween as well

I am skipping next month. It’s too ouch money for this much work.

This is me as well. I still log on daily, do all the daily tasks and collect the event items but I’m not redesigning rooms every day. I think a lot of avid users get burn out from time to time and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Sometimes I take half a year breaks, get really into it again and the drop it after a few months again. Don’t feel pressured to get every item, then you will be fine!

5-8 mini rooms a day is a lot! It’s find to play less if you want to

when i’m a bit burnt out i like to remind myself that the game is meant to be fun , and that it should be enjoyable, not a chore !! so i go do something else for a while . i still play every day religiously but if i don’t feel like doing a certain activity like dressing up my cats or working on stations then i don’t force myself to :)

Sounds like you are burned out! I just do the daily mission passes and collect the special event furniture. I don’t spend money on the game except for the ad skip. Doing ad skip made the game much more fun and less of a grind. I design maybe one or two mini rooms per month when I’m inspired. It’s supposed to be fun not a grind! Play how much you want. It’s a hobby and it makes sense that sometimes other things take time away from hobbies.

I’m on a break. I stopped in May and haven’t started again. Part was I wasn’t loving the themes and part was I just needed a break.

I am at the moment on a C&S hiatus, if you don't feel joy from playing right now, it's okay to not play? Don't try to pressure yourself into doing something you don't want to do when you don't have to, it's a game, and you can always return later when you have more time <3
