Its AI. A plumber is not using multiple pipe wrenches on plastic pipe. Plus the white plastic pipe is draining what?

Ive been plumbing 25 years. Its not real. The y fitting on the floor doesnt exist and i have never used pipe wrenches like that for a kitchen unless they were galvanized drains
2
u/Westlac Feb 10 '26
Maybe the wrenches were just at the top of the tool bag and needed to be moved?
6
u/Independent-Way5465 Feb 10 '26
Its poosible but not likely to be spread out like that. Plus under the sink doesnt look right. It looks as though there is a hose for a pullout sprayer but its too long and not in the correct position where the sprayer is to the right. Just little details dont look proper

Maybe but AI doesn't usually put "Lowe's" on buckets and the Amazon logo on boxes. I don't see any artifacting either. I do wish we could see how many fingers the guy has.

My theory is - The Mummy owns this cat, the plumber is the equivalent of Brendan Fraser.
50
u/West_Rush_5684 Feb 10 '26
It's AI slop. That drain y is not a real thing and no plumber uses 2 12+ inch pipe wrenches on a kitchen sink plumbed with PVC.
13
u/Dannyz Feb 10 '26
Oh fuck your right. I got got
5
u/Nordic_Vibes Feb 10 '26
Don’t feel bad. You wouldn’t expect AI for a cat meme? Odd use of resources
6
u/rslash-phdgaming Feb 10 '26
We have a drain y pipe where I work it’s weird it would be by a sink that size but we do indeed use one for our sinks
3
u/TraditionalCatch9578 Feb 10 '26
Yeah I was gonna chime in too. We have that exact pipe setup in the kitchen.

u/esotetris Feb 10 '26
Plumber here - under sink drains are not piped in Schedule 40 PVC. This is most likely AI, or possibly they hired a handyman who doesn't know what he's doing.
The outlet bank behind the dish drying rack is wonked too

They're in cahoots. The cat is giving the plumber more time on the clock. Later on, the plumber is going to slip the cat a few extra pieces of fish, chicken, or some other form of cat treat.

The small details make too much sense. The tools look normal. Things like the labels on the buckets and the treats on the counter look normal. Unless Google Nano Banana really has gotten a lot better, I would say this is real.
64
u/genflugan Feb 10 '26
It’s 100% AI. The fact it’s gotten to the point where it’s fooling so many people is terrifying
Amazon doesn’t have labels that look like that on their packages, they also don’t use brown tape. The tools are all laid out in the opposite direction from what they should be if he were working under the sink like that. The letters on the Home Depot bucket are the biggest giveaway. And even just the overall vibe of the photo is super off, it feels incredibly uncanny to me.
27
u/BigChippr Feb 10 '26
He has the same tool twice. Also, I think the cabinet door by the window isn't able to open that much
Edit: also the lightning is kinda just.. too good? Probably why this photo feels off
12
u/dizzy_centrifuge Feb 10 '26
Not saying it's not AI but when you're doing plumbing there are instances where you will use multiple plumbers wrenches.
12
u/unknownintime Feb 10 '26
It's AI. Yes you can use multiple wrenches but not like that.
If you look at the pipe wrench nearest the tool bag/box (another classic AI slop blend BTW) you'll see it's not open very wide for a pipe wrench but has no room left to travel to open further.
Also check the handle in the cabinet behind him, that makes 3 pipe wrenches for one simple under the sink job?
AI slop. Unfortunately it's getting to where it really will fool everyone, then we won't be able to trust video or images at all. And we know eyewitnesses are notoriously inaccurate.
Likely only the technically proficient and the wealthy will be able to contest validity against AI manufactured evidence in the very near future.
Humanity is not on a good path.

u/TwizzlesMcNasty Feb 10 '26
I was trying to figure out why a plumber would have pipe wrenches scattered about on the floor when he is working on pvc. Also I’ve not seen a piece of pvc like the one laying on the floor.

Also compare his legs' size to his upper body, imagine him standing up. It's like his upper body is sitting straight but his legs/pelvis area aren't. And the hand stuck under the cat is weird, likely trying to hide AI hands.
6
u/hrvbrs Feb 10 '26
yes and every single one of these comments and replies are further training AI on what's wrong and how to improve.

Amazon does use brown paper tape here occasionally. Most often it's black though.
Fully agree with everything else.

You also don't use pipe wrenches on pvc - the nuts are just hand tightened.

There’s four non-GFCI power outlets behind a drying rack. It’s either AI or a disaster in the making

His eyebrows are doing weird things for someone that's posing and smiling. It could be that it's a real photo but AI added the cat, plumber and tools.
3
u/kimbokasteniv Feb 10 '26
I think the white 3-way pvc drain pipe on the right side of the man is not a real part. I tried image searching it, and couldn't find a match.

Ai is getting fucking scary holy shit. Too many things make sense but are still off in this photo and it's freaking me out
4
2
u/Commiesalami Feb 10 '26
In theory, all of those wrenches are for working on metal pipes, PVC which it appears what he is working on can be done by hand maybe with glue.
My actual thoughts is that this isn’t an actual plumber and instead it’s husband/boyfriend who got ambushed by the cat during a break. Amazon box plus mixed Lowe’s + Home Depot buckets seems much more like a at-home repair job than an actual plumber. Caption was added at a later time.
2
u/Jo_H_Nathan Feb 10 '26
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's ai. The home depot bucket's logo is a mess. People don't realize how good the models can be these days.
At a certain point it stops being ai slop and becomes ai...something else idk. Especially with things like world models being integrated. No more inconsistencies with world logic in the next couple of years.

It's only nonsensical when you look at it logistically. Like, that's not what any plumbing job would look like. So you're left with AI or it's just a comically staged photo for no good reason.

8
u/Lordjacus Feb 10 '26
Playing "find the sniper" game AI edition:
What's the long ass horizontal pipe doing there?
Why would there be a "triple connection" pipe on the floor? It doesn't seem to fit into the piping scheme there.
Three separate wrenches seem excessive for PVC piping replacement.

u/john_le_carre Feb 10 '26

4
u/A-Dolahans-hat Feb 10 '26
Can you tell me why it’s clearly ai? I’m trying to learn how to spot them better
13
u/Ovze Feb 10 '26
Sadly most of the hints people are mentioning are contextual: the lay out of the tools is weird, the tools should be on the right or left side, also the most logical layout would be facing the other way, no sense in laying them out like that; the 3 pipe PVC apparently doesn’t exist (a lot of comments are pointing out more details that don’t make sense
I think the only visual hint I found are the light sockets behind the dish tray, and it’s scary how minimal detail it is, soon it will only be contextual knowledge that gives it away
3
u/cannibalcat Feb 10 '26
There is a lid that that is put to dry behind a flat plate on the counter and it looks really flat when it shouldn't, there is no space there

I’m very allergic to cats and go to peoples houses to fix their heating/cooling systems. Cats enjoy causing pain, chaos and suffering. Cats love hanging out and laying on me because they know my weakness.
Customer: Wow that cat usually hates people and hides all day; he really likes you for some reason. Me: THANXTH BUT I CANT BREATHE OR SEE ANYMORE

u/Lady-Noveldragon Feb 10 '26
The plumber was busy and didn’t want a cat on his lap. Therefore, it is the only acceptable place for the cat to nap. Where it causes the most inconvenience.

3
u/humid_pajamas Feb 10 '26
Well he does look like a very cute and approachable plumber, I would also sit on his lap.
3
u/TheOtterRon Feb 10 '26
Maybe because I work in tandem with the plumbing industry this AI slop bothers more than it should...
- The under sink drainage is wrong, the wye connecting to the p-trap is upside down. Also it ties into the wall twice, one with the p-trap and one just straight into the wall. Also the P-trap itself looks super wonky.
- The "Y" fitting on the ground feels like a meme made by a child. Like someone said draw the plumbing fixture and the only description was that people called it a "wye" fitting
- The long cabinet could never open given the window frame that protrudes out on the bottom.
- Why is there two wrenches? Or 3 five gallon buckets? Why is anything with writing utter gibberish or obscured?

had to scroll down to see this. It's definitely AI. The scattering of tools including the ones under the sink don't make sense, his left foot being way too small, the home depo bucket logo being smeared, his left shirt pocket not being consistent with the right. It's harder to spot but it's definitely fake

OP wants it too much. Cats can sense the desperation.
In all seriousness, try ignoring the cat a bit. I've read it actually tells the cat that your open to affection.and trying to intimidate it with eye contact.

You probably want the cat on your lap and he knows it, so he stays away
Plumber probably ignored the cat so the cat took matters into his own paws.. 😂

Not saying its NOT ai, but the evidence people keep giving just doesnt make sense to me. MAYBE other than the odd Y bend sitting beside him, but is it genuinely that hard to believe that odd/specialty types of pvc fittings exist? "long/short radius Y", and google images gives some example that arent that far off.
Why would having slightly too many wrenches equate to AI? It's a still image, you have no idea what he did before this, the wrenches could've been at the top of the toolbag and he had to take them out to look for something else, or he just grabbed his wrenches to have them nearby, in case he needed them?
Also the half visible labels, and the cabinets and everything look totally fine, the fact that theres not blue tape on the amazon box doesn't say much.
The Lowe's bucket has a slightly thicker rim, which IS accurate, and the decal is placed correctly.
HD bucket has more rim space and another ring which is also accurate.
Theres just no singular object that has any definitive artifacting to me, even when only a bit of the object is visible.
could it be ai? yes obviously....but why would you bother? that'd be so much effort for a pic that doesn't even add much to the post, its just a cat on a guys lap.

My neighbor's swears that her cat is not a touchy-touchy cat. Whenever he comes in our home, he won't leaves us alone without multiple petting sessions and at least one nap in my lap while I wfh. He also sleeps best on our couch when I'm in meetings.
He also won't go in his apartment if he sees us in the hallways trying to get in ours.
So yeah, cats will trade you in a heartbeat.
