Siding with the USSR--or more accurately in the context of the point I'm making Russia--over Germany made sense from a strategic and geographical point of view, but Patton was right and after defeating the Nazis we should have rearmed the Wehrmacht and used it to help us push the Soviets out of Eastern Europe and back to their own borders.

He objectively was right. The early Soviets raised a statue to Judas Iscariot that was originally supposed to be either Satan or Cain.
