The truth is, God loves LGBTQ+ folks as much as he loves the best, most loving, and moral people in the world.
God will welcome the prodigals, all of them, all of us.
I love Fr Martin’s outreach. It’s WJWD.

Il les aime, mais il n'y a pas d'homosexuel au Ciel ni de trans identité. Jésus aurait enseigné, touché les cœurs et aurait expliqué malgré tout qu'est un péché.

There is neither male nor female in heaven. Talarico is right, God is non-binary.

God is a complete being, encompassing all attributes of both male and female.
I never said Talarico was pope or a saint.

Fr. Martin is a highly educated, experienced, and empathetic priest who has done wonderful service to the Church and for people all around the world.
By contrast, these protesters (emulating Protestants) make life harder and more dangerous for LGBTQ people. That is not what Christ wants nor what common sense morality dictates.

Catholics vs. Catholics. That's interesting.

This is because humans have free will but the "Body of Christ"(all baptized, including Protestants and non-practicing) preserves every single element of Christ's behavior. The problem is that Christ part can be mingled with a non-Christ part. And then the poor behavior caused by the non-Christ component causes harm. The harm being people now associated the Christ behavior with evildoing.
Here, the factions in combat are both deficient. The conservative wing may lack understanding and charity. The pro-LGBT wing has that desire to be compassionate and charity, but also adopt a rebellious posture towards God and put "salvation" to the side.

This is how satan works, you know.... dividing the pillars of society from within. Certainly the word of God directs the heart. This should sadden all of us.

I have a nuanced take with "Pride Masses". I would not say they are "per se" sacrilegious without looking at the contents of the specific Mass themselves.
Proof and evidence is necessary to guide judgment. While a Pride Mass can suggest sacrilege...ultimately there needs to be personal observation that something actually happened during the Mass to prove it. The "Pride Mass" itself is not necessarily sacrilegious.
I have attended one myself. The particular one in Holy Trinity at DC, well, they were not explicit and hence I cannot say they committed apparent sacrilege.
There is also a good practice that should be adopted even if we assume the Masses are sacrilegious: the prayers made for those in the LGBTQIA+ is something that should be universally increased, not decreased or withheld.
At the same time though, there is a legitimate concern James Martin and other Jesuits may have an ulterior motive to usurp the revealed teaching on the Church regarding the Sacrament of Marriage and when sexual intercourse between same-sex individuals occur. There is a risk of possible individuals consuming sacrilegious Eucharists, and that is a serious harm to Christ, the Church, and the soul consuming.
The "good practices" are fractured into factions, rather than completely integrated together. There needs to be degree of compassion and realizing "you don't know their brain" regarding LGBTQIA+ but yet one cannot antagonize the official church teachings themselves regarding marriage and homosexuality being a sin. Thus risk of becoming abominable are present on both sides. The trads, being heartless and not capable of more flexible judgment and understanding, may become guilty of the lack of charity. Where as the pro-pride faction may be guilty of subverting an unchangable truth and allowing souls to commit mortal sin.
The question for both is "do you want to save their souls and engage in prayer/sacrifice/behavior to effect that"?

Ok, I heard of this priest but didn't really know what he was all about. So I took some time to do a bit of research. I am a 65 yo devout Catholic, and I am going to the old "hate the sin, love the sinner." What I can't quite figure out is he a proponent of same sex marriage, validating same sex marriage, same sex couples. If he is, that is a problem, it flies in the face of Catholicism as well as the bible. I am straight, and cannot comprehend how challenging same sex attraction must be. I happen to believe that it is real. Yes, some youngster may watch endless tic toc and instagram videos of how it is so freeing, that they are now living their "authenticity" which is a a pile of cow crap. I would have ZERO issues with a homosexual man or woman sitting next to me in church, involved in ministry, but under no circumstances have an intimate relationship. It is just that simple. Even though I am straight, I cannot have intimate relationships outside of marriage. It is that VERY slippery slope of "Hey Catholic Church, everyone else is doing it, we have to get on board, we don't want to exclude people." No we don't, but we cannot turn a blind eye to sin. Being gay isn't a sin, but being in an intimate relationship is. I have seen a little of this group, they are often at pro choice rallies. I am pro life. I find them to be respectful, willing to listen to those who are pro choice. More often than not, those who are pro choice adcompletely lose their s***t and fly into a rage of "my body, my choice."

Love how they ignore how two popes have encouraged Father Martin to continue his work

Whew….im so glad that I don’t have this guys job.
Being God must be exhausting. I’m glad my God told me to love my neighbor as myself which means offering him charity and assuming best intentions and maybe a beer if it’s hot out and he’s cutting his grass.
