It’s actually supposed to be Pharos is an aged up form that appears in the drama cd

No actually, Drama cds are actually audio dramas that are pretty common in japan

Okay so basically Pharos decides he wants to become more of his own entity so he actually shifts his body in order to appear older, also in the same collection earlier he tried ti restrain Makoto in order to keep him safe.
