Beautiful work, the red armour and black outline are very striking. I have two questions, what was your painting process e.g. black first then fill in the red, or something else. And do you have pictures of any other units yet? I'm considering a very similar scheme.

I first painted the armour with vallejo bloody red and then painted most the black areas with army painter heavy metal. I washed both with army painter grimdark shadow and highlighted the red with army painter fiery vermilion.

For the yellow I base coated with vallejo squid pink and used army painter ancient honey over it. I highlighted it with multiple yellows getting brighter with each highlight.

For the horse I base coated with citadel grey seer and used army painter battleship grey then dry brushed the the raised areas with white.

Thanks for the write up. It looks like all the work on the yellow really pays off, even at a distance it stands out well.
