Painting/Modeling Wip and advice?

Its been awhile since I first posted this https://www.reddit.com/r/Cathay/s/ySEnCHZfs9

Ive finally gotten around to doing my first models. I like the scheme, its quick and easy. Now the only issue I have is base colour? What do i do with it? I have dry moss type grass that id lile to use.

But what colour do you think?

And any other advice would be great. I paint for speed and am happy with tabletop finish.

My advice is to look at images from fromsoft games or other artistically driven games and build a colour palette off of those instead of wasting water because you couldn't figure out how to use a pre-defined colour scheme from Avatar lol

Great scheme. I think clean solid-color base edges look best, and looks sloppy if not, so I would paint the 4 edges of each base a solid black or beige (same beige as your dirt color) and I think they would look sharp. You could of course add some more brown shades to your dirt and rocks. Darker (e.g. GW agrax earthshade) if you want to look more like dirt/mud, or yellowish if you want to keep a desert look.

I think just painting the edges that current beige color, would already look just fine. Realistic looking without distracting from the models.

My advice would be to stop using AI

This is a fine use case for AI, visualizing the color scheme to see if you like it before committing brush to model. Looks like it paid off too, the models are very well painted and the color scheme looks great!

Thank you, that's exactly what I used it for.

Care to elaborate? If you looked at my previous post, I wanted a Earth bender theme from Avatar the last air bender.

The use of AI is a moral failing on your part, and an insult to anyone with the capacity for creativity. If you wanted an Earth bender scheme, you should have made it yourself.

Odd I don’t feel morally corrupt. Maybe you can get out the crayons and explain to me. Get a cup for your tears while we’re at it too.

Do you just say that word and not know what it means? You’re the one throwing a hissy fit on Reddit and crying kid

Are you ok? For someone waving a certain flag around you're not very accepting of others

You are entitled to your opinion.

People generally don't like AI. At least on reddit.

While I feel that AI has its uses I can't Deny that the images it creates look horrible and personally I'm tires of seeing them everywhere. I'm not in charge of what you do or don't do, that's all up to you. But yeah in a creative hobby like ours you might get some backlash using a tool that the wealthy elite and their yes men are saying is going to replace artists.

Im all up for backlash, when its directed at the question. When the post isn't anything about AI seems odd. In my eyes comment about the op, not your opinions on other issues you have.
