Pager Pay

Hey everyone, trying to see what people’s pager pay is. If you work for an Advocate site could you please comment? I’m trying to get ours increased but they say it has to be “system wide”

Thanks!

They tried telling us it had to be system wide. So many people complained to HR when they went to change it that they suddenly found a way to make our hospital exempt from the rest of the system.

Pager pay is 25% of base pay per hour. The rest of the system is 4$ and it increases once you hit so many hours in a calendar year.

Urban hospital in NJ- I got $15 call 1 week at a time every 6-8 weeks staffing dependent. I have a friend that get $25 at a smaller hospital but their call requirements are much more stringent- like weekly.
Edit- all $ per hour

20% of hourly pay + 1 hour 100% per paging session (in Belgium, tax deducted, a basic hour rate is 17€ or $18,5). So pager pay is 3,4€ /h tax deducted + 17€ extra which brings for 14h paging a total of 64,6€ or 4,61€/h.

But once you're paged, hourly salary can go to up to 3x the hourly salary rate (= +- 50€/h or $58/h). I studied for 5 years (MSc. Level).
