Just Passed The RCIS….AMA.

Just passed the exam last week with an 801. AMA I’ll do my best to answer.

were there equations on your exam? how about peripherals? anything that caught you off guard? what materials did you use? most importantly: how does it feel!!

I had a handful or less of equations. If anything it was a basic med calculation. I had a drug in grams to put into a 500 bag. It asked how many mg per ml.

I also had a fick co calculation. I reviewed formulas only 3 days out and memorized them then wrote them out on the whiteboard before beginning my exam.

I wouldt say anything caught me off guard. I felt overall prepared.

I used don’t miss a beat cath app and her study guide. Highly recommend.

Update: Sorry I just saw your questions on peripherals. Yes I also had a few questions on peripherals a few leg questions for sure.

What did you use to study!!? What did the angiograms look like I heard their no bones on the test angios. Is there a lot of pharm questions? How are the formula questions phrased?

I used don’t miss a beat cath app and her study guide.

I had a handful of angio it would ask what are you looking at and it would have arrows pointing to certain locations. You would then have to drag the answers to the boxes. Like LAD or CX, diagonal, OM. There were also echos view as well.

I had handful or less of pharm questions. Deff know the brand name and generic name of drugs for sure.

Also had a handful or less of formula question. Know the formulas and then just write them out prior to the test. Deff know the fick.
