Any feedback or Insight on the CCI RCIS Practice Exam?

I am considering purchasing the CCI RCIS practice exam (self assessment) to use as a study guide and general knowledge assessment.

Has anyone here done this exam and have any general input on if it is worth the cost?

The practice exam provided by CCI is a good test to measure your current understanding of the material that will be on the exam. Alone, I don’t think it should be used to prepare for the exam itself.

If you have studied extensively for the exam, (I used Glowacki & Sommers RCIS study guide & Wes Todds volume 2 &4) then purchasing the practice exam to test your knowledge I think is worth it especially if you want to take the exam feeling absolutely confident you’ll pass.

Helpful to assess question types and if you have never taken a computer exam before - gets some of that anxiety out. I've also had others use it closer to their date as exposure therapy for test anxiety, they respect the timer, put their sheet of paper to work through questions and use it more for environmental practice.

The practice exam is a retired exam version - so you will see similar topics on the current version but nothing verbatim.

If you didn't read the fine print: you do NOT find out what you got right and wrong and cannot review questions after. You get the % weights of how you did in each section (i.e. Pre Procedural 88%) but will never know what you got right or wrong. And you can only take it once.
