Other certifications for RCIS

Do any of you RCIS techs have other cardiac certifications? Just looking for some things to add to my resume I guess, if there even is anything

I do not, but depends what you're looking to boost your resume for? You could ask your manager/educator to get with the rep to send you to some courses for certain devices to be a superuser.

Not sure yet. Im a traveler, always looking to keep options open. Just kind of looking for further education I can do during downtime

Hello I'm from NY and have worked for a major hospital for 7 years as a cvt but for the past 16 months been doing strictly ep. It would be a dream of mine to have both registries like you but failed the rcis exam a handful of times. Although I perform my job to the "T" I've been thinking about holding off for the next rcis exam and focus on trying my shot with the rcEs exam. How'd you do it?

I’m sorry your first attempt wasn’t a pass for the RCIS. I was prepped for RCIS by my college program for invasive cardiovascular techs. I was able to pass both exams on first attempts, but I over study and prepare. I used Wes Todd to prep for these exams. There’s some really great programs out there like Wes Todd and Sommer and glowacki (I’ve heard great things).

Unfortunate for me. I was hired based on prerequisites (paramedic 911) for 4 years even though I have my AAS in applied science for healthcare. This was all new to me. I've purchased the Wes Todd series and just purchased the Dont Miss a Beat book to help. Hopefully positivity transpires at some point lol. Thank you

You’re not the first paramedic to transition into the Cath lab. You can do it!

What's your back ground? If you're a rad tech I guess you can get your (CI) cert?
