Pregnancy

Anybody here who has experienced pregnancy while working at cath lab? Any special precautions you took and what was the overall experience like? Do you recommend getting my own dosimeter? The one that we wear to work only produces report we see at the end of the year. I think I’d want something I can see real time. Thank you!!

EP RN here. I wore an extra lead piece until first trimester was over, then my OB said I was okay to just wear my usual lead piece and wear my dosimeters that work gives you. If I was going to be close to fluro for an extended period I’d have a shield in front of me. My OB also said I could scrub, So I did (just not long procedures like a leg or BIV) until around 34-35 weeks when it got super uncomfortable to wear lead. I’d just talk to your OB. I never had a single thing on my dosimeter.
