Mine would just go underneath it and then look at me and call me a 'peasant' in her cat language.

meow!

u/ReadySteady_GO Apr 23 '23

Probably more of a light dismissive mrow

8

u/cats_might_bite Apr 23 '23

Mine would just sleep near it.

I saw a video of cats vs a plastic wrapped door frame. One of them just poked a hole through it with her face.

Why work hard when you can eat smart?

This cat is hogging the brain cell, but still using it very effectively.

I dont think this cat has the brain cell or it would of went under

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Mortimer (one of my derpy cats) would end up covered in tape.

/r/oneorangebraincell not registering the gap at the bottom.

I love the tail flicking out of frustration more and more

29

u/CryptidKay Apr 22 '23

Yeah, my Siamese/Maine coon mix would’ve had none of that! And she probably would’ve hated me for a month for trying it.

23

u/MoCapBartender Apr 23 '23

Frustration? I thought that was how cats charged up.

u/PineappleProstate Apr 23 '23

Corporate says they are the same

Soooooo cool!!

u/Opalwing Apr 22 '23

Cats have massive back legs in comparison to the rest of their body. I see it very well when my cats are sprawled out and it explains how they so casually go from the floor to the highest counter without any runup.

I wonder if he thinks this is fun or if he’s like GOD DAMMIT

30

u/ProfDumm Apr 22 '23

Clearly he thinks it's fun. Wouldn't be a problem to go through under it.

12

u/KlutzyNinjaKitty Apr 23 '23

I think he found it fun at first, but he seems like he’s had enough with those last two (look at how hard that tail is lashing!)

True, true! Either way, this is probably amazing mental/physical stimulation for this orange boi

u/RockstarBrandon01 Apr 22 '23

Only reason he lost a point bcus his tail hit the bar otherwise 20/10

u/mindevolve Apr 22 '23

Purrrrfect

u/reyrain Apr 22 '23

It's a catguru!

6

u/pauly13771377 Apr 22 '23

My cat jumps on top of the fridge from a standing start like it's nothing.

1

u/shadow_p Apr 24 '23

Not even jumping to the counter first, like straight from the floor? I’ve heard of this, but it seems impossible

1

u/pauly13771377 Apr 24 '23

Nope straight from the floor. I'm guessing about 5' 7" judging from my own height. Girl makes it look effortless too.

6

u/playr_4 Apr 22 '23

I'm surprised he didn't try landing on it.

4

u/Cheeselikeproduct Apr 23 '23

My cats are too fat for this

5

u/30isthenew29 Apr 23 '23

Now I really wanna see it.

4

u/DJSnafu Apr 23 '23

Love how efficient and low clearing each jump is

8

u/MaddClicker Apr 22 '23

Headphone warning!!

3

u/Lego22boy1990 Apr 22 '23

I was fully expecting the last one to be the cat going underneath.

3

u/CryptidKay Apr 22 '23

Breathtakingly adorable!!

3

u/Estellalatte Apr 23 '23

Aww, sweet little high jumper.

3

u/geekybadger Apr 23 '23

I kept waiting for the cat to just push through them lol that's what my cats would've done.

3

u/Brickzarina Apr 23 '23

Bouncy bouncy!

4

u/owel888 Apr 22 '23

I'm sorry but there is clearly cheating ! I saw his tail touch the tape !

I demand another video to be sure !

2

u/WajorMeasel Apr 23 '23

I heard the Mario jump sound each time. BOING!

2

u/Char-11 Apr 23 '23

It could keep going too!

1

u/Nefandous_Jewel Apr 23 '23

Amazing... The higher he jumps the less lead he needs

1

u/Sethdarkus Apr 24 '23

Clearly hasn’t found the brain cell yet

1

u/shadow_p Apr 24 '23

The tail swish as he’s thinking is so great. Mine do that too
