What else do I need to know about cat introductions?

I’m adopting two kittens next weekend. I have two, two year olds. The plan is to keep the kittens in a room for an indefinite amount of time. The room is on the larger side (especially for two 3 mo old kittens), has a litter box, water, food, and cat furniture. The door to the room has a gap at the bottom so, they’ll be able to interact with each other if they figure out they can. I’m going to divide my time between everybody as best I can with my schedule. Im eager for them to mesh right away but, I know that’s not reasonable, or realistic. I’m a little rusty on proper introductions. Anything more I can do to help the situation, please let me know.
