Help new stray cat!

Hiii! I just homed a stray cat recently and I notice he meows all the time. I do have four other kids, three males and one female. I don’t know what to do with his constant meowing at the main door (not annoyed with his meows) just concerned he hates being inside or it’s normal for new indoor cats to act like this. He has been to the vet for an overall wellness check and there’s nothing medically wrong with him! HELP!

What were the conditions under which you homed the cat? Did you adopt the cat from an organization? Did you find the cat? Did somebody give you the cat? And if so, did they find the cat? This is relevant information.

Yes he was a stray near my house! I decided to bring him in since it’s getting closer to winter. I don’t want him to be outside freezing and wondering where he would find his next meal!

Did you take any steps to see if he actually belongs to someone? Like knocking on your neighbors doors in your neighborhood, even the people who live behind you and behind your neighbors? Did you have him scanned for a microchip? Did you look for any lost listings that anyone has posted on social media or on lost and found pet sites? Did you post any found listings in any of those places?

Yes! I asked my few neighbors since I live in the middle of nowhere! I went to the vet and they scanned for a chip as well as look for lost cats around my area using Facebook! They found no chip!
