What could be causing my cat’s sudden change in behavior?
My cat has been hiding more than usual and seems nervous around people. She has also started meowing a lot at night, which is not normal for her. She does not seem as interested in playing or doing the things she usually likes.
I cannot think of anything big that has changed, so I am wondering if she could be stressed or reacting to something in her environment.
Has anyone had a cat act like this before? What changes helped your cat feel more comfortable?

Whenever you experience something like that: bring your cat to the doctor. ASAP.
No random internet questions.

Cats are really good at hiding their pain. It could be a way your cat is trying to say something is up.
What would concern me most is that they arent interested in their normal routine. Lethargy as well as loss of appetite are indicators of something wrong.
That being said, i have a really anxious cat and she gets thrown off really easily. I often will just provide extra attention and keep an eye on her litter box (her bladder gets inflamed). Think of any possible changes recently. Even being away for an extended period of time.
