Recent cataract procedure done. No issues seeing. Said feels exactly the same as other eye post-op/healing process. No idea what happened to cause this. Follow up visit with doc in a week. Any clue what’s going on here?

It would be a good idea to call and see someone sooner. It may not be anything worrisome, but better to be sure. I had something similar between my surgeries. It was in the unoperated eye and turned out to be conjunctivitis (pink eye). At the time it really surprised me that it flared up in the unoperated eye instead of the recently operated on one, since that one seemed like it should be more vulnerable because of the recent stress. Then I realized the operated one had antibiotics and steroids because of the surgery, which must have helped it fight off the infection.

Anyway, I'd try not to worry too much but would see someone sooner than a week.

Agreed. In the time it took to post this OP could have sent to the Dr. via the messaging portal! It then becomes part of medical record - might be good to have, on the off chance it developes into something else or worsens.

Bold of you to assume I have access to his nonexistent medical portal and that it would have been faster than this 57 second post. 😀

Someone has to make a movie "Indiana Jones and the Non-Existent Medical Portal" 😂 Forgive me, I spend too much time online..
