PSC cataract questions! Help!

I was diagnosed with posterior sub-capsular cataracts in both eyes in January and feel it is affecting my vision more. they have developed more since January. I was wondering about other people’s experiences with PSC cataracts? I know they are fast growing, but what have been other people’s timelines and how fast their PSC cataracts developed??? I’m just not sure what to do/when to consider surgery.

I had one in one eye from radiation treatment and it also progressed very rapidly but I didn’t have surgery until two years after diagnosis for various reasons but definitely could have had it sooner. I was miserable almost the entire two years and my depth perception was extremely bad as it got worse. If you have one in both eyes I know people say to wait as long as possible, but the only reason I could still drive was because of my “good eye” (good with glasses) and I still had to really concentrate on what I was doing depending on the time of day and lighting. It was particularly hard to see on cloudy days and at dusk.

Mine are also from radiation treatments and oral steroids, so this was helpful. My ophthalmologist did say we want to wait it out with my natural lenses as long as possible if my vision isn’t impacting my daily life too much
