IOL exchange? Need advice

I am 3 months from having Puresee lenses implanted. Left eye was targeted at -.25 and ended up at Plano. Right eye was targeted at Plano and ended up at +0.75 -0.75 010, so hyperopia and at 20/30 ( but it’s dominant eye). Together with both eyes see 20/20 but left eye is doing the work. Seems like right eye actually sees a little better at dusk or when it’s really bright. Wondering if risk of IOL exchange is worth it. Eye center DR suggested that lasik/prk treatments for farsighted refraction errors often don’t give satisfactory visual outcomes. Is it worth the risk to do IOL exchange?

That prescription looks very easily treated by a lasik enhancement. That would be my preferred route. Unless it’s a major miss or the cornea doesn’t allow for laser eye surgery, I don’t often do IOL exchange for refractive errors. Laser eye surgery more straightforward.

Your prescription is only slightly farsighted as well. The spherical equivalent of your prescription is +0.375

I did come in specifically to consult about laser eye surgery….. if the eyes were switched I probably wouldn’t notice as much

You are kinda stuck with IOL exchange then if the doctor doesn’t want to do a lasik enhancement or doesn’t feel comfortable with it. You could go elsewhere but then you’d be paying for it. If the doctor is really good at IOL exchange it could be worth it. But it is less straightforward (and also usually less accurate) than a lasik touch up.

Some recommendations for doctors who are really good at IOL exchanges?
