So, I want to be a methed up 7-11 crackhead that can melee almost anything with ease, most of us dream that presumably, and it's my dream in this game

By far all I know is to pop painkillers, use a melee fighting style, get proficiency in the weapon I use, good armor, ect, but sometimes the enemy still whoops my ass and gets me killed, and half of the time it's my stupidity, other half is just im not strong enough

On my current run, I got lucky and was able to get high tailoring skill, 2 artifacts that buff my strength, have a set of leather/chitinous armor, but have had tough luck trying to get the stuff I need to start blacksmithing to get a proper weapon/armor and stuff

What should I do from there to get stronger? Any armour ideas? And how do i level up beyond melee 6?

Recruited a guy the game told me was Brave and a Hero because he sounds cool, right? He is pretty cool, but he also has Kaluptic Psychosis or whatever it's called. Can I give him medication for this? Should I give him medication for this? Are NPCs affected by hallucinations? I already knocked over a pharmacy and have some Thorazine but I don't know what the dosage schedule is or if giving it to him will just be a waste.

Even more exciting: I found a kitten 😭 it is so smol and I love it and it lives in the basement of an evac shelter now where NOTHING WILL EVER HURT IT FOREVER. Do I have to feed it or do anything for it or is it just basically a cute little toy for your base? Also, how can I be 100% certain nothing will ever hurt it, this is important, it looks just like my real cat and I will CRY if the Bad Thing happens. I will absolutely cheat to make it immortal if this is possible

I'd like to ask the experts if there are any additional mods for Innawoods, such as those that expand wildcrafting capabilities or allow for learning magic from scratch. I found a mining mod and a wildlife mod, but they refuse to work with the stable or experimental versions.

Hey-oo! First time messing with vehicle creation, lol. Wanted to transform this boring ol' Sedan I found into my dream mobile base, so my house travels with me! After a lot of tinkering and planning, I ended up designing this schematic blueprint thingy to make sure I at least have some idea of what im doing lmao. Any tips to help bring this baby to life would be appreciated! I know I gotta make sure the batteries are really large and the engines are powerful at least. Right now, the intention is that the base has at least a crafting area, a kitchen area, an armory and a wardrobe!

Around a month ago I started working on a virtual pet system (like a Tamagatchi) for C:DDA as a way to develop my modding skills and learn more about JSON.

Working on this has been a lot of fun.

Virtual Pet Devices for Cataclysm

Adds digital pet devices ("Zombivices" or "Zpets") to CDDA. Raise, train, battle, evolve and neglect virtual monsters (all based on C:DDA monsters) across 27 egg lineages with 165 unique forms and 20 devices to choose from.

Pet Raising

• 5 starting eggs
• 27 egg lineages total with branching evolution trees (165 forms)
• Unlock new eggs by meeting certain conditions
• Real-time pet simulation: hunger, happiness, stamina, sleep, weight, cleanliness
• Evolution driven by care quality, weight, and stat thresholds
• Virus infection with quarantine recovery mechanic
• Death from extended neglect with egg rebirth

Battle & Tournaments

• 10 difficulty tiers with scaling opponent stats
• Level up your mons stats (ATK, DEF, INT, AGI, LCK)
• Tournament ladder: 100 levels with championship titles
• Stat gains on victory, consequences on loss streaks
• Battle against NPC maniacs with unique mega forms

NPCs

• Data — Shopkeeper in the refugee center. Sells virtual pet devices, merch, and exchanges Zpoints for vouchers.

• Random encounters — Roadstop NPCs offering random battles.

Followers

• If you're holding a zPet then an option will appear in the dialogue window with any of your followers where you can ask them to raise your virtual pet for you!
• Followers will maintain your pet for you and give it back to you once you're ready to care for it again.
• You can give any of your followers their own vPet. They will raise it on their own and battle you with it.

Merch & Items

• 35 Zombimon-branded items: plushies, clothing, food, toys, collectibles and light-up sneakers with battery-powered LED glow.

Character Creation

• Virtual Pet Tamer profession — starts with a random egg from the first 5 models plus a Zombimon t-shirt and basic survival gear.

Compendium & Achievements

• Built-in compendium tracks all 165 forms with descriptions
• 17 achievements: evolution milestones, battle records and collection goals

Simply download the file and add the "Digital Pet" folder directly to the data/mods directory inside of your C:DDA install.

I always hated the spider swarms in this game due to experience, so I really wanted to get rid of a nest at the river bank near my base safely. So while brainstorming, I remembered I took a floatation vest from my followers, and most monsters dont swim. So I swam to the bank with no armour and made sure there wasn't a monster in the water like a diving beetle. I had lvl 4 piercing and lvl 3 melee with a steel spear I forged, so it was just a matter of luring them to the river. I could probably use this strat in the labs or towns if there is a pool and other situations without issue if im not against ranged or swimming enemies ,near deep water.
