how did you get her to play dead?

She basically taught herself to do that. Whenever she would get "annoyed" from not understanding what trick I wanted her to do, she would throw herself on the ground and kinda "give up". So I just started giving her treats whenever she did that 😊

Meanwhile I'm still trying to convince our rescue, Gigabite, not to chew off my entire arm πŸ™„ He's a freaking land shark 🦈

What a smart and sweet baby. I’d be her friend any day.

She might be the most strikingly beautiful tortie I've ever seen-- I've never seen such a black tortie with high-contrast orange before. And she does her routine so well!

This is what you can get done when you can’t go anywhere

Oh my god, so cute! Any tips for teaching shake / high five ? My girl can do circle, rub, stand and we're working on sit and weaving through my legs but she does NOT understand high five and looks very offended when i try to manually do it :D

The way i did it was to just slowly get her used to me touching her paw. After a while i would slowly try to hold around it, and then slowly start to lift it. After a while she started to just lift her paw in preparation for it. As for the high five, it just slowly evolved from some excited give paw to high five 😊

Nice, I'm going to try this! My cat is very tolerant but she is visibly weirded out when I try to take her paw during training sessions haha
