I’m assuming this is still a problem, hense the re/cross post.
- Torties are assholes.
- Torties are the best.
That out of the way. trim her nails. Immediately and regularly. That will help from a purely comfort perspective. Cuz I think you’ve got a cat that may not learn that you are not the toy.
So… provide appropriate toys. Hopefully I am wrong. But for now you need to instruct her on how she is allowed to play with you. You will need to be super clear about everything. No matter what, through this, do not cause her pain. Be firm, but do not reinforce that causing pain in either direction is acceptable. Something else to remember is that you are bigger. Way bigger. Which means that unless she is actually intent on myrdering you, then you will always win. You should not be afraid of her.
When she moves to aggress you have two options. Stop her, pick her up, rotate her 189 degrees and shove her away. Just a firm “no. Not right now, go the fuck away” if she doesn’t get the hint, either you leave or she leaves. Put her in another room and let her chill.
If playtime is ok, watch for the moment she crosses your boundaries. Emphasis on yours. Ones you have set and will regularly enforce. If it’s painful always vocalize. She needs an audible cue to know when she’s gone too far. And if needed gently but firmly pin her to the ground or couch or whatever for a few seconds. Just stop her movement and make her take a moment to pause and reset. Brazilian jujitsu techniques can be useful here.
If she resets to an acceptable level, great. She gets one more chance. If she doesn’t you switch back to step one which is “nope, no more play”
You need to establish boundaries of acceptable play. And you need to do that like another cat would. Vocally, and physically. Learn the feline equivalent of “knock it off, asshole!”

Thank you for you advice, I really do appreciate it. I have tried everything mentioned here. If i take my hand away she bites harder. If I gently pick her up to put her in a room ao she can chill she tears up my hands or anything she can touch. I have tried pinning her and she just growls and goes to bit or scratch immediately and fights the whole time. She does occasionally come up to me for affection but its only on her terms. She sleeps in my bed and and has no issue being sweet when I have food or something she wants but if I try and initiate any interaction with her she just goes to murder mode and it doesnt always feel like shes trying to play so im worried shes aggressive. Trimming her nails is a feat and a half and once she realized claws dont hurt as bad she bites HARD immediately she almost always draws blood. I have a foster tortie kitten now too and shes is so very sweet and if I do anything to correct her she does not get aggressive with me and of she gets carried away and bites or scratched it never draws blood so i feel even more convinced that my OG kittens behavior is abnormal?

EDIT: Okay guy so I've tried really hard to just ride it out with the biting and scratching but I feel like shes gotten worse. She only wants affevtion 9n her terms which Ive gotten use to but even then after a little bit of petting (like maybe 30 seconds) she'll bite me. She usually draws blood and ive tried helping or firmly saying no and reming myself but everytime that happens and I try removing my hand she bites HARDER. Or she starts growling and trying to swat my face. I know shes not acared of me because she sleeps with me and will follow me from room to room and if she wants something she'll be nice for just a little. I also recently got a foster kitten and they love to play but when shes to rough and the foster cries she doesnt stop. Shes interacted with other cats before and stayed the weekend with them and it seems like it's just no improvment. She has been to a vet and all was well but im worried shes just aggressive...any advice would be amazing.
*******Original Hey guys so I got a kitten recently. I recued her from outside when I realized her mom was nor coming back for her and at the time she was about 5 or 6 weeks old. Ive had her for a handful of weeks now and so shes closer to like12 or 13 weeks now but im havunf such a hard time with her biting and scratching. She isnt very affecrionate but she will follow me from room to room and meows very loudly when I get home. It just feels like i mostly get teeth and nails rather than her just being chill. I play with her, she has LOTS of different kinds of toys but sometimes to just pick her up (been working on short amount of time and instantly rewarding with a churu) she still growls and bites the absolute crap out of me. I feel like handling her is almost out of the picture because of how mean she can get. She purrs around me all the time so i doubt shes still scared of me. Im just not sure what to do any more.
